2007 graduateI have been working for the Licking County Government for 2 years now. I started as an intern while still in school. Once I graduated I was hired on full-time and started my new career as a Web Applications Developer.
On top of doing web I also do a lot of Graphic Design work throughout the county. I have done logos, letterheads, and brochures for different departments. In my free time I also own and operate my own Web Company. I design websites for private companies and local bands. [The ads] I designed for bands have been published in major magazines, and band album art has been sold in major department stores.
I owe a lot of my success to the Digital Media Design program and the instructors there. The instructors are like clients, basically, [because] they know what the world needs in a designer. They know the problems the students are going to face once on their own, and that prepares you for real world clients, which makes you a better person and a better designer.
