Melissa Dunfee is a freelance photographer and fine artist. She has earned three degrees: Associates in Liberal Arts at Ohio State University, Associates in Digital Media Design at Central Ohio Technical College, and a Bachelors of Fine Art specializing in photography and minoring in professional photography at The University of Akron.
She has over 5 years of experience in the photography, design, and media fields as Head Photojournalist at The University of Akron Student Newspaper, assistant webmaster for DST inc., freelance photographer and graphic designer for many Ohio businesses, and intern at a small independent video production company.
Melissa has had her photography published in The Buchtelite Student Newspaper of Akron, Ohio, and The American Society of Media Photographers Newsletter of Cleveland, Ohio. She even covered the Presidential Inauguration of Barrack Obama in 2009 as a photojournalist. As an artist, she has had several exhibits featuring her fine art photography in the northern and central Ohio area.
She is an active member of the art community, an avid fine arts enthusiast, freelance graphic designer/photographer, volunteer, and is a part of the American Society of Media Photographers in the northern Ohio chapter.
