Ruedy is currently serving as an adjunct professor for COTC, teaching 3D Design & Animation classes as well as Photography. His background includes a BFA in Fine Arts Photography, a BS in Mathematics, and an MA in Art Education in Computer Graphics and Animation from the Ohio State University.

Ruedy has been a visiting artist for Youngstown State University’s Department of Art, presented workshops for the University of Tennessee Art Department, and worked as a media consultant for area businesses. He served as a Creative Director for the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation and as Virtual Reality Director at Wheeling Jesuit University.

His responsibilities included producing the permanent collection of HiDef historical railroad visualizations for the Grafton, West Virginia, B&O Railroad Heritage Center Museum. His production group also conducted Virtual Reality and 3D technology research, assessment, and evaluation of existing and emerging technologies for business applications.

Ruedy has also been an adjunct professor at ACCAD (OSU’s Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design) and Columbus College of Art & Design. Ruedy's animation has been shown in the Electronic Theater at SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group in Computer Graphics) and various nationally touring art exhibitions.
